Each school has been given laptops that are designated for substitute teacher use. These laptops are labeled on the bottom with the designated school as seen below:
Only sub credentials can sign into sub laptops. The sub-account username and password can be obtained from the school building front office.
Sub laptops may become disconnected from our WiFi network from sitting unused for some time. Restarting the sub-laptop will connect you to the network and fix the issue. If you're unable to sign in, have trouble loading websites, or are just having random issues try restarting the laptop.
After you are signed in with the sub-account you can select the Chrome icon from the taskbar, which will bring up the substitute PowerSchool Page.
Connecting to a Dock
If a room has a dock and a projector you will need to connect your laptop to the dock to use the projector. Start by locating the connector seen below which is attached to the cable that connects to the laptop.
The substitute laptops require this USB connector with the opening to be slid up to the end of the cable. It then slides over the top of the end of the cable like in the picture below:
You can now plug the smaller USB cable into the back of the larger USB cable. It should look like the picture below when finished.
This USB cable can now be plugged into any USB port on the laptop and will successfully connect the laptop to the docking station and projector.
