If you don’t have a parent account be sure to call your students’ school or email your students’ teacher for a Canvas Pairing Code. Then create a parent account by going to elkhart.instructure.com and click on “Parent of a Canvas User”.
Open User Menu
Open the Canvas Parent App. In the Dashboard, tap the Menu icon.
Open Manage Students
Tap the Manage Students link.
Open Student Alert Page
Tap the name of your student.
Set Alerts
You can enable or disable missing assignment, course announcement, and institution announcement alerts. To manage a toggle alert, tap the alert toggle button [1].
You can also receive course and assignment grade alerts. To manage grade alerts, tap the grade criteria link [2].
Set Grade Percentage Criteria
Enter a number in the Percentage field [1]. Then tap the Save link [2].
Note: You can disable a grade percentage alert by re-opening the alert and tapping the Never link [3].
